Why I’m still a Christian.

Here’s another video, made before the COVID-19 voluntary quarantine when I still had much worse video production skills. Those have gotten better thanks to doing church online for the last 2 months, but I still think that the message of this video is worth suffering though my audio shortcomings.

As a “head-based” person, and Christian, I’ve always struggled with doubt. The internet has not made that better, and sometimes I need to remind myself why I do the Jesus thing in the first place. Karl Rahner’s book Concern for the Church was an amazing find. He addresses the issues that I think a lot of us are afraid to face, and reorients us with what hasn’t changed. Here’s what hasn’t changed for me, and some of the reasons why I’m still a practicing Christian:
